Onion Rolls

Ingredients

  • 2 onions, finely sliced
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 cups wholemeal flour
  • 1/2 cup corn flour
  • 1/2 cup buckwheat flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp non-dairy milk
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds

Directions

  1. 1. Sauté onion in half the oil.
  2. 2. Combine onion, flours, water, oil, and salt in a bowl and knead until it has reached earlobe consistency (may need to add more water).
  3. 3. Roll out dough on a floured surface (approx 0.5 cm thick) and cut into triangles
  4. 4. Roll triangles into crescents by rolling from the straight edge to the point.
  5. 5. Brush will milk and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 180 C for 30 minutes or until cooked.
