Pearl Onion Broccoli Bake

Ingredients

  • 4 packs (8 oz) each frozen broccoli
  • 4 cups pearl onions
  • 1/2 up butter, divided
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 packs (3 oz each) cream cheese, cubed
  • 2 cups soft bread crumbs
  • 1 cup (4 oz) cheese, shredded

Directions

  1. Cook broccoli in 1 inch water until almost tender and drain.
  2. In a saucepan melt 1/4 cup butter, stir in flour, salt and pepper. Add milk. Bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 1-2 minutes until thick. Reduce heat, stir in cream cheese.
  3. Place broccoli and onions into a greased 13X9 pan. Add sauce and toss to coat. Melt butter and toss with bread crumbs. Sprinkle crumbs and cheese over veggies.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
