  • 1 cup cider vinegar
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 cups dried prunes
  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves, with heads removed
  • 1 teaspoon whole allspice
  • 1½ sticks cinnamon

Directions

  1. Simmer about 1 hour or until prunes are plump. Place the prunes in a jar and drain the liquid over them to cover, strain- ing out the spices.
