Revised Ground Beef Noodle Scallop Casserole

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. medium noodles
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • Chopped onion and green pepper, garlic if desired
  • 16 oz. or more spaghetti sauce
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup cottage cheese if desired
  • Shredded cheddar

Directions

  1. Cook noodles until tender; drain and set aside.
  2. Brown meat, onion, green peppers and garlic if desired; drain.
  3. Add spaghetti sauce until mixture is quite sauce-y
  4. Combine cream cheese, sour cream and cottage cheese.
  5. In 2 1/2 cup casserole, spread 1/3 of meat sauce, then spread half noodles and cover with 1/2 cream cheese mixture. Repeat layers and top with sauce. Top with shredded cheddar or mozzarella as desired, maybe 1/2 cup
