Stuffed Green Bell Peppers

Ingredients

  • 2 green bell peppers
  • 2 cups chunky tomato sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • Mozerella cheese
  • Salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Pour 2 cups chunky tomato sauce in bottom of 9x13 pan
  3. Add 1 cup beef broth
  4. Cut top off top of peppers
  5. Cut core and seeds out from inside
  6. Poke 4 holes in bottom of peppers
  7. Set peppers in 9x13 pan
  8. Cook ground beef. Drain. Cook rice. Combine both with Salt and pepper and 1/2 cup of the tomato sauce in a bowl
  9. Stuff mixture into peppers
  10. Add 1 TB tomato sauce on top of each
  11. Replace tops onto peppers
  12. Lay parchment paper on top of peppers
  13. Cover tightly with aluminum foil
  14. Bake for 30 min.
  15. Remove foil and parchment paper
  16. Add 1tb tomato sauce - from pan- and add shredded mozerella cheese to top.
  17. Bake for 30 more minutes
  18. Drizzle with tomato juices.
