First, sift the flour and baking powder and set them aside. Then, using a mixer with a whisk attachment or simply a fork, beat the eggs very well, add the oil, the vanilla, and finally the sugar.
The second step in the recipe is to mix the egg mixture with the flour mixture. Gradually add the flour while stirring continuously until you get a smooth and even batter.
Optional for cinnamon lovers!!! After you cut the apples, sprinkle them with a teaspoon of cinnamon and mix well so that every piece is evenly coated.
Finally, add the finely chopped apples and stir to distribute them evenly.
Pour the mixture into a cake mold. If you are using a silicone mold, there’s no need to grease it with oil, but if you are using a different kind of mold, it’s best to grease it beforehand. After you pour the batter into the mold, break the chocolate into small pieces and spread them over the entire mixture.
Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F). The cake is ready when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out dry — this usually takes about 40–43 minutes.
After baking, wait at least 10–15 minutes and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Letting the cake cool at this stage is essential so that the sugar on top doesn’t melt.
