Baked Mac And Cheese

Ingredients

  • 3 TB salted butter
  • 2 TB flour
  • 1/2 onion finely diced
  • 3 Cups whole milk
  • 2 Cups sharp cheddar shredded
  • 1 Cup Gruyère shredded
  • 1 Cup Mozzarella shredded
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • TOPPING
  • 2 TB butter
  • 1 Cup seasoned panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan shake cheese

Directions

  1. Cook pasta and set aside. In sauté pan melt butter and add flour, whisk for 1 minute. Add onions and sure for a few minutes. Add milk 1 cup at a time and whisk till no lumps. Add all seasonings. Heat till a simmer and whisk occasionally so no lumps. Mix in cheeses and stir. Take off heat once melted. Toss in pasta and mix well. Pour into greased casserole. Topping - melt butter and stir in panko and parm. Sprinkle on top and bake for approx 20-30 min.
