Brown Sugar Molasses

Ingredients

  • 1cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water

Directions

Begin by pouring one cup of brown sugar into a saucepan.
Add 1/4 cup of water to the saucepan.
Place the saucepan on the stovetop over medium heat.
Stir the mixture continuously with a wooden spoon until the sugar dissolves completely.
Once the sugar has dissolved, increase the heat to medium-high and bring the mixture to a boil.
Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for approximately 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Keep a close eye on the saucepan to prevent the mixture from boiling over.
After 10 minutes, remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
Place a strainer over an airtight container or jar to filter out any impurities or undissolved sugar.
Carefully pour the molasses mixture through the strainer and into the container.
Allow the molasses to cool completely before sealing the container.
