Cast Iron Turkey Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1⁄4 cup chopped yellow onion
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 4 romaine lettuce leaves
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 4 burger buns (sprouted grain or gluten free)

Directions

  1. Heat a cast iron pan over medium high heat. You can also preheat a grill to 400 degrees instead.
  2. Mix together the turkey, onion, oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Form into 4 patties.
  4. Place the patties in the pan and cook for 4 to 5 minute per side or until desired doneness.
  5. To serve, place romaine leaves on each burger bun and place burger on top.
  6. Add some sliced avocado and desired accompaniments.
  7. Enjoy!
