Challah

Ingredients

  • 2 cups warm water 10 tsp yeast 2 tsp sugar mix let rise for 15 min
  • Separate bowl mix
  • 3 cups water
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1-2 Tbsp salt (I use a strong one if you use the red veggie one use 5 tsp)
  • After the 15 min mix in the yeast mixture
  • Once combined add
  • 1 5lb high gluten flour
  • Kneed until smooth ball of dough is formed
  • Let rise for 35-45 min
  • Shape to your liking
  • Rise for 25- 30 min
  • Egg wash
  • Sesame
  • Bake until done
