Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Coconut
  • 1/2 cup Daliya split dal (cooked)
  • 2 Green chilies (adjust for more or less spiciness tolerance)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Tbs Sesame oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp Chana dal (uncooked)
  • 5-6 Curry leaves

Directions

  1. Blend together equal parts coconut and daliya split dal.
  2. Add green chilis and salt to taste, and continue blending and adding water until a soupier consistency.
  3. Top with sauteed curry leave topping: Sautee the mustard seeds and chana dal until browned. Add the curry leaves and flash fry until crispy.
