Ingredients

  • smoked turkey parts
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 2 round corn breads-3 glory boxes or (season the cornbread with sage, poultry seasoning, creole seasoning, pepper)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can chicken & rice soup
  • 1 egg (added before cooking beaten)
  • 1 can of chicken broth
  • Bullion cubes 2-3
  • sage/poultry seasoning to taste
  • 1/2 cup herb seasoned bread stuffing

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to *350
  2. Bake turkey parts (boil/slow cooker 3 cups water, seasoning, onions, celery, garlic, peppers)
  3. Grid up the corn bread by hand-fine
  4. Mix in other ingredients
  5. 1/2 of the cream of chicken
  6. Season really well
  7. season well including salt
  8. Add beaten egg
  9. Dressing should be soupy
  10. put dressing mix over the turkey
  11. sprinkle with water
  12. cover the pan with aluminum
  13. Bake for 45-60 minutes
  14. 1/2 way through baking time, take the cover off
  15. taste & check for dryness
  16. taste the center, so not doughy, don't let the edges get crusty
