Mix only till everything is combined, be very careful to now mix it too much that can make your gulab jamun shrink. make small balls out of the mixture, you do not need to put any oil on you hand to make the balls, the oil in the mixture is enough for that.
Fry the gulab jamun on low to medium heat and keep tossing so that they are equally brown on all sides.
Once they are soft brown drop the gulab jamun into the sugar syrup and keep them dipped till you want to serve
