Ingredients

  • • 3 medium size steamed potatoes
  • • 1-2 green chilly
  • • 1/2inch ginger
  • • A big handful spinach
  • • 1/2 tsp amchur/ dry mango powder (optional)
  • • 1/2 tsp salt
  • • 5-6 cashews

Directions

  1. 1) Blanch the spinach ie. soak the washed spinach in a container of boiling hot water for a minute. Remove and drain
  2. 2) Mash the steamed potatoes.
  3. 3) Blend the spinach into a paste.
  4. 4) Also make a paste of chilly ginger or use 1/2 tsp if you already have it.
  5. 5) Add to the mashed potatoes,spinach paste, chilly ginger paste, salt and amchur powder.
  6. 6) Mix all of the above, taste and adjust as per your need.
  7. 7) Roll into small balls and flatten slightly in between your palms. Gently press half a cashew on top of it to garnish.
  8. 8) Put on a baking tray and bake at 200 degrees in a pre-heated oven or grill for 4-5 minutes.
  9. 9) Serve with fresh onion and mint chutney.
