Keto Bread

Ingredients

  • Basic Sandwich Loaf:
  • - 8 ounces(1 normal block) room temp cream cheese
  • - 4 tablespoons room temp butter
  • - 8 whole large eggs
  • - 1/2 tsp salt (i use regular iodized salt so if you use coarse salt than adjust by an extra 1/8 tsp)
  • - 1 cup almond flour (i use kirkland's myself)
  • - 2 tsp. baking powder
  • For Garlic Chive Version Pictured Here:
  • - 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • - 1 tsp. onion powder
  • - 2 TBSP. freeze dried chives

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° farenheit.
  2. in a large mixing bowl beat your cream cheese and butter together until smooth
  3. (i use a hand mixer with a whisk attachment to get a really smooth texture but you can do it by hand).
  4. add salt (and other spices if using them).
  5. begin to add eggs, two at time, making sure to fully incorporate before you add more.
  6. after all the eggs are in you can add your flour all at once along with the baking powder.
  7. beat until smooth but don't overmix. pour into a standard sized loaf pan
  8. (i use a silicone because it never sticks and bakes evenly).
  9. pop into the oven and bake for 45 minutes. remove and let cool and rest for an hour before removing it from pan. let it cool completely before slicing.
  10. i get 16 slices out of a loaf typically and find it's easiest to preslice the loaf and then wrap it to store in the refrigerator.
  11. lasts up to 5 days.
  12. It can be toasted in a regular toaster or toaster oven as well!
