Ingredients

  • Fenugreek leaves (Methi leaves)- 2 ½ cups, plucked, measured then washed
  • Chapati atta (whole wheat flour) - ½ cup
  • Besan (gram flour) - ½ cup
  • Green chilies - 2, chopped finely
  • Ginger paste or freshly grated or crushed - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder -¼ teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Sugar - 2 ½ teaspoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon
  • Oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Water - 2-3 tablespoons or more or less
  • Oil - to fry muthia or Water - 2-3 cups to steam muthia
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Mustard seeds - ¼ teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Hing (Asafoetida) - a pinch
