  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) whole milk, lukewarm
  • 2¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 86 g (1/3 cup + 1 Tbsp) sugar
  • 125 g (1 cup) bread flour
  • 250 g (2 cups) all-purpose flour
  • 22 g (1/4 cup) custard powder
  • 1 teaspoon (5 g) salt
  • 1 large egg + 1 more for egg wash
  • 60 g (4 tablespoons) unsalted butter, room temperature
