Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked or canned pumpkin
  • 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Combine all ingredients. Note: I always reduce the amount of spices by more than half.
  2. Pour into unbaked 9 inch pie shell, preferably deep dish.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes, then lower the heat to 325 degrees and bake for 45 minutes, or until the filling is firm. It usually takes longer than 45 minutes.
