Tony Roma's Carolina Honey Pork Spare Ribs

Ingredients

  • BBQ Sauce
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 12 cup honey
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp tabasco sauce
  • 4 pounds pork spare ribs or baby back ribs

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients for sauce in a sauce pan over high heat. Blend with whisk until smooth. After mixture comes to boil. reduce the heat and simmer uncovered. In 30-45 minutes, when sauce thickens, remove from heat.
  2. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Coat ribs in BBQ sauce and wrap tightly in foil (save some sauce for the grill). Bake for 2-2 1/2 hours. Remove ribs from foil, coat with remaining sauce and toss on hot grill for 2-4 minutes per side.
