Vegan General Tso's Tofu Sauce

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup light soy sauce
  • ¼ cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp rice wine
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1½ tbsp sriracha sauce (more if you like it extra spicy)
  • ½ cup water
  • 1½ tbsp corn starch

Directions

  1. Whisk all the ingredients together in a saucepan.
  2. Simmer on medium low heat, whisking constantly.
  3. After about 7-10 minutes the sauce will start to thicken. Remove from heat once it reaches the desired consistency, about 12-15 minutes.
  4. Toss cubed tofu in additional cars starch and fry. Top with sauce.
