  • 1 pound hamburger
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 1/2 cups tomatoes
  • 2 (6 oz) can tomato paste
  • 2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 cup black olives
  • 1 (8 oz) package lasagna noodles
  • 1/2 pound mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese


Preheat oven to 350
Cook lasagna noodles per package instructions.
Brown the hamburger in hot olive oil. Add onion and garlic, cook until transparent.
Add tomatoes, tomato paste, and seasoning.
Cover and slowly cook for 1 hour or until thick, stir occasionally.
Add sliced olives.
Spread 1/4 cup over the bottom of a greased 9 X 13 pan.
Layer noodles in pan, cover with sauce, cheese (1/3).
Repeat layers, ending with meat sauce and parmesan cheese.
Bake for 1 hour
