#Dong Po Rou (Braised Pork Belly)

Ingredients

  • Pork Belly ~600g. In an ideal world, you’re going to find some pork belly with skin on
  • Braising Liquid:
  • Brown sugar, 80g.
  • Shaoxing rice wine. 1 Tbsp
  • Dark Soy Sauce ¼ cup.
  • Light Soy Sauce 2 Tablespoons.
  • Water
  • Ginger, ~1 thumb cut into slices.
  • Scallions 1 bunch
  • Garlic, 2 gloves. Crushed.
  • Star anise, 2
  • Chinese 5 spice 1 tsp
  • Dried Sichuan Chilis 2. Cut in half and deseeded. You could sub dried Arbol if you're abroad and can’t find these.
  • Sichuan Peppercorns ~12
