Buffalo Hamburger

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground buffalo
  • 1 (1-ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 6 hamburger buns, split and toasted
  • 1 tomato sliced
  • 1 onion sliced
  • Dill pickle slices
  • Jalapeño slices pickled
  • Chili sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except the buns; mix well. Form into 6 equal-sized patties. Grill patties 4 to 5 minutes per side, or until juices run clear and no pink remains. Serve on buns.

  3. Why not give these "souper" burgers a zip by topping with chili sauce? And, you know, if you don't have the time, or it's the wrong weather for grilling outdoors, you can use a grill pan to give your burgers a similar look and flavor.
  4. Serve with leaf lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices, pickles and hot peppers. Allow each to add what they like.
