Burnt Honey-Whiskey Glaze PHS

Ingredients

  • 1/4C Smoked Onions
  • 2C. Honey
  • 1C. Whiskey
  • 1/2C. Dijon Mustard
  • 4T. Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 4T. Soy Sauce

Directions

  1. In heavy bottomed saucepan heat honey over medium heat. Bring to a very gentle boil and cook until caramelized about 2-3 mins, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Whisk in remaining ingredients. Return pan back to medium-low heat. Bring mixture to a simmer, cook 5-10mins, stirring occasionally, until sugar says dissolved and mixture is syrupy. Remove mixture from heat, strain and let cool completely, glaze will thicken as it cools.
