Mediterranean Ground Chicken Flatbread with Hot Honey Feta Cream
Ingredients
- For the Ground Chicken
- 1 lb (450 g) ground chicken
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- For the Veggies
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cucumber, diced
- ¼ red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- For the Hot Honey Feta Cream
- ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
- 2 tbsp Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- For the Flatbreads
- 4 large flatbreads or tortillas
Directions
Cook the Ground Chicken:
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground chicken and cook until fully cooked and lightly browned. Season with smoked paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Prepare the Veggies:
- In a bowl, combine cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss gently.
Prepare the Hot Honey Feta Cream:
- In a small bowl or food processor, blend feta, Greek yogurt, olive oil, honey, and red pepper flakes until smooth and creamy.
Assemble the Flatbreads:
- Spread a layer of hot honey feta cream on each flatbread. Top with cooked ground chicken and veggie mixture. Roll or fold as desired.
Serve:
- Serve immediately as a sweet, spicy, and creamy Mediterranean-inspired flatbread.
