Molten Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 300 g chocolate (better if dark) (or 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips)
  • 2 tbs butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • extra butter and sugar for baking tins
  • whipped cream to serve
  • confectioner's sugar to garnish

Directions

  1. Butter baking tins (cupcake tins) and dust with sugar. Make sure it's sugared evenly. Dust out excess sugar.
  2. Preheat oven to 390 degrees Fahrenheit.
  3. Melt butter in saucepan on medium heat.
  4. Add chocolate to butter and allow to melt together.
  5. Beat sugar, eggs, egg yolks, and salt in a large bowl with a whisk.
  6. Add melted chocolate to mixture and mix until the batter is smooth.
  7. Add flour and stir until smooth.
  8. Fill each batter or cupcake tin evenly (about 4cm high).
  9. After, bake for 10 minutes.
  10. Turn over cake, sprinkle with confectioner's sugar.
  11. Serve immediately.
  12. Whipped cream is best served with.
