Bulgar And Tomatoes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Bulgar #3
  • 1 28oz. can of crushed tomato sauce
  • ¼ lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion-finely chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. canola oil
  • 1 cup water
  • ¼ tsp. of salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Sauté onion in oil until tender. About ten minutes. Add the ground beef and brown it with the onion. Add tomato sauce with one cup water and salt and pepper. Cook for 20 minutes on medium heat until bubbly. Cover and stir occasionally. Then, add the bulgar, stir and cover for 25 minutes. Taste, if the bulgar is not tender yet, add more water and repeat.
