Mattar Paneer

Ingredients

  • 1 Medium size onion (roughly chopped)
  • 2 Medium size tomato (roughly chopped)
  • 2 Green Chills (chopped)
  • 1 1/2 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp Red chilly powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 Cup Green peas
  • 1 Cup Frozen paneer
  • 1 Cup water
  • 1 Tbsp Cream
  • 1 tap Garam Masala powder
  • Fresh Coriander

Directions

  1. Cook onion till transparent
  2. Add ginger garlic paste, tomatoes and green chilli.
  3. Cover & cook till tomatoes are soft
  4. Add a pinch of salt, it helps tomatoes to get soft quick
  5. Once the tomatoes are soft blend and make puree
  6. In a pan heat oil and cumin seeds, chilly powder.
  7. Now add the purée immediately.
  8. Cook for 2-3 minutes
  9. Now add coriander powder and turmeric
  10. Cook till mixture is half quantity, dark in color and oil has separated
  11. Now add peas, paneer, water and cream
  12. Now add grama masala powder
  13. Cook for a few minutes
  14. Garnish with fresh coriander
