Moong Dal Chilla 2

Ingredients

  • • 1 cup split green moong dal soaked for half an hour
  • • 2 tsp Himalyan salt
  • *Flavouring*
  • You can add to moong dal
  • • 1/3 cup split black urad dal + 2/3 cup channa dal soaked for 30 minutes
  • OR
  • • 2 tsp dry ginger powder and turmeric
  • OR
  • • 4 tsp black pepper powder

Directions

  1. 1) In a blender add soaked green moong dal with the skin and salt with little water and blend it into paste.
  2. Let the paste/batter remain slightly thick in consistency.
  3. If required you can add optional flavours into the batter and mix it.
  4. 2) On a tawa, on a slow to medium heat, spread the batter in circular motion.
  5. Flip the other side till it is slightly brown on top.
  6. Ready to serve hot.
  7. 3: Serve with chutney of your choice.
