Ingredients

  • 6 cups quince, peeled and grated
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 tbsp. lemon juice

Directions

  1. 1. Wash and peel quince and grate coarsely, removing seeds and core.
  2. 2. Add sugar to grated quince and let stand for a few hours.
  3. 3. Add water and simmer over medium heat until mixture thickens.
  4. 4. Add lemon juice and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. 5. Pour, while hot, into sterilized jars. Seal.
