Scallops: Seared With Cajun Cream

Ingredients

  • For the Scallops:
  • 1 lb sea scallops, patted dry
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • For the Spicy Cajun Cream Sauce:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for extra spice!)
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish
